Veronica Allen-Anderson was born and raised in New York City, a Woman first, then Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Auntie and a good Friend. I have entered many writing contests and have been awarded honors from the Library of Congress and the Famous Poets Society for my poems.  The awards I have had the honor to receive are the Editors Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry and an Award of Recognition for writing exquisite poetry.  I have poetry published in two publications. Presently, I am married to the love of my life, and am the mother of two wonderful children. Having a family of my own to nourish, I have a different outlook on life as to what is, and what is not, really important.  I try to help others come to terms with what really are the important aspects in life--always asking myself, “If I passed away today, how would I be remembered?”  I would like the remembrance of me to be a pleasant one.  This can only be achieved in the matter in which we treat others.

I began writing poetry when I was 13 years of age and spent 20 plus years of exploration and putting to words my observations and passion for understanding people's most intimate emotions.  I love speaking with various people that approach me for suggestions, and in some instances, put some of their issues personally into my life in an effort to come up with a solution that not only I would follow, but would help others. My goal is to help ones overcome life’s many obstacles. I try to bring clarity to what is often a complicated landscape involving the heart and mind. My articles demystify the tough issues in relationships and offer workable solutions. We have a world of people out there hurting and confused. Are you hurting? I can help.
